What is the difference between WallCollections digital printed wallpaper and regular wallpaper printing?

WallCollection wallpaper is digitally printed panorama wallpaper. This type of wallpaper has many advantages compared to traditional printed wallpaper. Traditional wallpaper usually has a 53 x 53 cm report/pattern repeat. This means that the same pattern must be repeated numerous times to cover a wall. WallCollection wallpaper has no report/pattern repeat limit, so the designer has free rein. A traditional wallpaper printing machine can only print a limited number of colours at a time. Usually a machine can print 1-6 colours at a time. By printing WallCollection wallpaper digitaly, it is possible to print millions of colours at the same time. Usually, it takes as much as six months for a wallpaper to get from the initial idea to the actual product. With WallCollection, a design is ready for printing straight away. WallCollection does not need cylinders in order to print, which means that there are no start-up costs. Due to the short start-up time and easy handling, it is possible for WallCollection to print the exact volume a customer needs.

What about the quality?

WallCollection wallpaper is printed on a material called WallSmart. WallSmart is a form-stable material that results in a very durable wallpaper quality. This type of wallpaper is easy to hang, as the paste is applied directly to the wall. The colours used in the printing process makes it possible to wipe off the wallpaper. Moreover, the colours result in a wallpaper quality that is fast to light.

Is the print glossy or matt?

The print is matte because the paper is matt. Even though we put ink all over the surface it will stay matt.
